Canary Test creates space for sonic practices that expand conventional forms.

Canary Test believes in sound as a physical and communal medium. We champion experimental practices across sound, video, performance, and installation and offer artists much-needed support in fabrication, installation, and exhibition at a time when resources for critical and diverse practices are increasingly rare. Our Los Angeles exhibition space is made possible by public grants, private donations, and Canary Sound Werk parties that foster communal experiences while elevating local talent and showcasing boundary-pushing musicians and DJs from around the world.

Canary Sound Werk (CSW) recognizes dance music as an essential expression of contemporary culture. Operating alongside Canary Test exhibitions, CSW serves as a platform for experimental electronic music through raves, live performances, and physical releases.
